Many thanks to the friends and supporters who helped make our 35th anniversary season a success!

Our four-concert season concluded with "I Shall Keep Singing," a concert that celebrated music and singing, vocalizing the need for beauty in our daily lives. Featured on the concert was the world premiere of "August Moonrise," a twelve-minute work for chorus, piano, and cello by Wisconsin composer Blake Henson.  This setting of the Sara Teasdale poem was commissioned by TCS to celebrate its 35th anniversary season thanks to the generosity of donor Shelley Spencer.  TCS also gave the Washington-premiere of "To the One of Fictive Music" by New York composer Robert Convery.  Both Henson and Convery were in attendance at the concert and spoke to the near capacity audience about their works and creative process.

The evening was a shining night for TCS, and it was wonderful to see so many of our friends and supporters in attendance.  Thank you for your generous support of our music and our mission.
