iAbout the Composer
Dr. Gwyneth Walker is an award-winning composer of choral and orchestral works, as well as songs for voice and piano. She is a graduate of Brown University and the Hartt School of Music. She holds B.A., M.M. and D.M.A. degrees in Music Composition. A former faculty member of the Oberlin College Conservatory, she resigned from academic employment in 1982 in order to pursue a career as a full-time composer. Her catalog includes over 160 commissioned works for orchestra, band, chorus and chamber ensembles. Dr. Walker will be in attendance at the TCS March concert and speak about her new composition.

A TCS Profile

Krista Bradley,
Singer & Board member

Krista Bradley is the Program Officer of Performing Arts at MidAtlantic Arts Foundation, a regional arts foundation that partners with the National Endowment to provide leadership and funding for artists and arts organizations in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, U.S. Virgin Islands and West Virginia.

In this capacity, she is responsible for a variety of funding initiatives that connect the arts and artists of the Mid-Atlantic region to the rest of the nation and the world.

Prior to her current position, Krista held positions as a funder, program director, and consultant for various arts, health and social service organizations, such as the Houston Grand Opera, OPERA America, Washington Area Women’s Foundation and the National AIDS Fund.

An avid choral music lover, Krista has been singing in choirs for more than 25 years and is proud to be one of the newest members of TCS’ alto section.

This is Krista’s second stint as a TCS Board member. She served on the Board from 1996–2000 and was Board Chair for three of those years.
